Repeating cycle of light and no light

BEGIN MIND DUMP:

The little picture of Kenny Hickey ("Wolf Boy") I did over there makes me smile. I wish I had outlined that one part of his hair, but it was so effortless, and it's funny, and he looks like Charlie Brown/Hey Arnold and it just makes me happy.

I've been making lists and using my scheduler on my phone for a while now... and I'm getting more done, but I still procrastinate too much.

I actually have TWO concurrent projects at work right now. I AM SUSPICIOUS. Since when do they make me WORK? >_>

I think I.Goldberg is my favorite store ever. Surplus army stuff is just rugged and useful. I had bought new fatigues for paintball, but they've come in so much more handy than that... the coat I bought has been keeping the wind from me all fall. And my ugly hat. I heart my ugly patrol hat. I did finally get a new satchel to replace my old one. It was getting beat up.

...and it had InuYasha on it.

I did some really good drawings today... one inspired by a Katatonia song that just popped out of my pencil onto the paper in ten minutes flat. I was very, very happy with the ease in which it happened, as that almost never happens.

I also did some sketches just trying to pretend I was Steven Silver again. I was trying to find a happy mix between the angular style he used in Clerks and the more swoopy style he used for Kim Possible. One day... but I'm getting closer.

My waitress today at Cracker Barrel noticed my anatomy reference book and said: "I'm surprised you need a book to know how to draw. I've seen your sketches." I was quite flattered, but sadly, waitresses are not the people I'm up against professionally. One day...

Keeping with drawing, I'm rather obsessed with the classical male nude. I think I might be gay. Oh well.

ActionScript 3 Class has had the bizarre and unintended effect of... making me understand ActionScript 2. Sweet mercy. Let's hope Adobe doesn't totally depreciate the language quite yet. AS 3 is just... annoying. It's logical in that "computer programming" way, but it's greek to me. Adobe destroyed the whole point of AS, because they wanted to get in a dick measuring contest. AS was a language that non-programmers could understand and use. But "real programmers" made fun of it, and ActionScripters, so Adobe was like: "FINE. AS3 will be object oriented." SCREW THAT. If I wanted that, I'd learn C++! (FUN FACT: I tried in High School. I failed.)

But I am slowly, slowly... becoming a programmer. God help me.

I buried the hatchet with an old acquaintance this weekend after 12 years. I wish it had come a few months earlier in July, but better late than never. Turns out when we don't think we hate each other, we're a damned good team.

I'm not looking forward to Thanksgiving... not even gonna start.

Have one more obligated show this weekend with cover band. Will be more picky in taking shows with him after that.

The Rigel record is done, can't wait to get a copy. I wish some of my playing was better (and I'd kill to recut one of the solos), but I'm actually FRIGHTENED by how much ProTools can make you seem a better player than you are.

Goth band chugs along. I actually used "What a horrible night to have a curse" in a song. I win the game. (Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. That's the game I win.)

Don't get me started on the last episode of Glee. AARRRRGGH DEFYING GRAVITY AUTOTUNE DRUM PART TAKEN OUT RAARG ARRGG RRAAARRGGH.

OK, I'm done talking.

I still don't sleep enough.

See us sleep behind the glass, unaware of crime. Will you wake us up before it is time?

Marry me? Alright, but you're gonna have to move to the States. Or me up to Sweden... I don't think I'd be quick on the language, though. I'm having a hell of a time with Nederlands... Svenska would be too much for my twisted American tongue.

"The Dutch are scum." - Skwisgar Skwigelf

Actually, I'm fond of the Dutch language. Hell to wrap one's tongue around, but intriguing none-the-less.

Rofl Metalocalypse <3

Alot of people say it's hard to learn/speak Dutch, but I think it all depends on where they come from.
German and Norwegian people don't seem to have that much trouble, because it kinda sounds like eachother.
Don't know if its hard, it's my native tongue 8D
